Native American Flute Lessons

The calming and healing sound of the Native American Flute invites us to relax, take a breath and go within, therefore it is a great addition to any sound healing session.

Whether used on its own or accompanying singing bowls, drums, rattles and other ambient and meditative instruments, the Native American flute brushes a soft and beautiful colour onto your soundscape.

Peter has over 15 years’ experience playing the Native American flute and has been teaching for five years. Whether you are a beginner or have played for a while, Peter will guide you to a level where you feel confident and competent to play in a sound healing environment or just for your own enjoyment.

The teachings are one on one via Zoom and can be catered to your time zone. We can also cater for couples or groups if you would like to learn with a partner or friends. All you need to bring is your own Native American style flute.

One on one or group session are also available in person in the Canberra/Yass region of Australia.

In the sessions you will learn:

Level One

·      The basics of breathing and finger placements

·      Going up and down the minor pentatonic scale

·      Different ways of playing using vibrato, trill and other tongue and finger ‘tricks’

·      You will be guided to play from the heart to blend your unique self into the sound

Total time of the lesson is 2.5 hours, and it is recommended to be broken into 5 x 30-minute sessions to allow integration and practice times between each.

The cost is $150AUD per person. 

Level Two

·      Learning a song with flute tablatures

·      Timing tips

·      Playing with other meditative instruments

·      Holding space during a sound healing/meditation

Total time of the lesson is 2.5 hours, broken into 3 x 50-minute sessions to allow integration and practice times between each.

The cost is $150AUD per person.
